This Privacy Policy describes how Sidekick Software Inc. (“Hiring Companies”, “we”, “us”), a Delaware corporation, collects, uses, and protects your information on this website (thehiringcompanies.com) and on the HiringCompanies account sign-in service (id.thehiringcompanies.com).

Hiring Companies is the company behind three products: HiringTest, HiringCase, HiringOrchestrator. What each product collects and how it is used — assessment responses, candidate cases, hiring pipelines — is governed by that product's own privacy policy, linked in section 6 below. This policy covers the surfaces that are shared across the family: the corporate site and the sign-in service.

1. The corporate website

thehiringcompanies.com is an informational site. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies here, and the site does not ask you for personal information. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs — IP address, user agent, requested pages — for security and operations.

2. The HiringCompanies account (sign-in service)

id.thehiringcompanies.com is the sign-in service for our products. When you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we receive your basic profile through OpenID Connect: your name, email address, and profile photo. That is all. We never receive or request your contacts, connections, posts, messages, or employment data from either provider, and information from LinkedIn is never used as an input to any hiring evaluation or decision.

The sign-in service stores the account records needed to operate it: your account (name, email, photo), the linked sign-in providers, and session records. Its cookies are strictly authentication cookies — they keep you signed in and are never used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

3. How we use this information

To authenticate you to our products, keep your account secure, and provide support. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers below.

4. Where your data lives

Account data is stored on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Our sites are served by Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective data-processing agreements.

5. Retention and deletion

Account records are retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below; product-specific data deletion is described in each product's policy.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information (including under the GDPR and the CCPA). Contact us and we will honor them; we do not discriminate against you for exercising them.

8. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes to how the sign-in service handles your data will be communicated to account holders.
